Assembly took around 45 mins (being extra careful as I did it by myself) but it was easy enough. Instructions were easy to follow as well. All parts feel sturdy and strong. It even came with a small toolkit which was very handy. So, assembly was really easy.
The bike itself is impressive. I am 6'1 and put all parts of the bike at it's max height and it was actually a tad too high, which is good so means that it will easily fit people at 6'1 and under. The height of the seat, the handlebars and the distance the seat is away from the handlebars are easily adjusted. The break and resistance system works very well. The resistance knob is easily turned to add and remove resistance and by pressing this in it will act as an emergency brake.
The flywheel spins smoothly and quietly as well for a nice consistent ride. To add to this there is an LCD monitor which displays distance, speed, time and will even measure calories burned and pulse. Overall, this is a great bike for the price and I recommend for any home gym.
Very pleased with the bike overall. It arrived days ahead of the estimated delivery date. It's packaged very well in that everything is taped up. Probably took longer to carefully unpack everything than it did to put it together.
Assembly was pretty straight forward. the instructions are clear and it comes with the tools you need.
As far as the function of the bike goes - everything seems to be smooth sailing however i have noticed a slight clicking sound when the wheel is spinning fast. it's not particularly loud and it doesn't sound like anything mechanical - it's more like the wheel is brushing against something. In terms of the weight of the wheel itself, i would've like a heavier wheel however available bikes at the time of ordering were very limited so my hand was forced a little. luckily the wheel provides just enough resistance to get out of the saddle and really have a go at the highest resistances but it really is only just. in the coming months as my legs get stronger I'm sure it will be too light. also, the resistance is applied consistently with each turn of the resistance control however it goes from around 70% to 100% "locked" within about half a turn so there's really not a lot of headroom at really high resistance. as I say, a heavier flywheel would give you more room to play with so it's a shame this is so light but it does just do the job.
I'm a relatively fit 30 something, average sized male, so if you're much fitter or much bigger/heavier then you may well find the weight of this flywheel too light.
overall however it's a great bike as of the time I'm writing this review and it's ticking all the boxes i want/need from a bike right now. if you're looking for a spin bike for at home I'd happily recommend it but with the caveats I've detailed above - particularly around your fitness/build/power versus the weight of the flywheel.
Great price for a great product! Sturdy enough. I am 130kg and does move slightly when standing on the pedals, but overall a very good piece of equipment.
I’m 5’8.5 and the handles are a little short really. I can manage but don’t get if you are any taller.
Also when in high resistance, the resistance being turned up goes to unspinable very quickly. IE you can’t move further into resistance (like you could in the gym) l. Therefore best used for high cadence not high resistance.
Overall not bad for price and will be used lots.
Excellent bike , very sturdy. Well made great value for money and a super quick delivery. Very happy customer.
