Great sturdy grooming table. When not grooming I just take off the leash arm and use it as my cutting table for sewing and good standing height table for everyday use, great versatility. If I could improve on one thing about this table, it would be to increase the height a few inches.
Really solid structure, easy to set up and then fold up and store. What a difference it's made in the whole grooming process - it was killing my back sitting on the floor, especially when Zoe would back away from me and I'd have to reach to pull her closer. So glad those days are over!
The one thing I would recommend however, is to purchase a neck/haunches noose separately. You can see the one I'm using in the attached picture. The table comes with only a neck noose - I don't trust that with a high-energy breed. Even though I'd never leave her standing there unattended, when I reach for a brush or the clippers or something, her foot could slip off the side and she'd hang herself! Also, at least for now while she's still getting used to it, I put it up against the window and use the K9 Bath Buddy with peanut butter which entertains her for awhile. Overall, very happy with this purchase and glad to recommend!
I don't usually write product reviews. But I am so impressed with this product I feel I need to share with other buyers. I do use reviews to make buying decisions so I hope this helps other buyers.
The table is completely assembled and wrapped in foam to protect the border of the table. The only assembly required is a simple assembly of the vertical bar to hold the pet's head, and that assembly requires no tools. That vertical bar would be removed when storing the table between uses anyway and is simple to attach and remove.
The bottom of the table is covered with a rigid plastic sheet, The edge is wrapped in aluminum channel and the top is ribbed rubber matting. I'm going to put a thin bead of silicone caulking between the aluminum trim and the rubber mat to make this table water proof as I intend to use it in the shower to wash my dog. I know this is not the stated purpose of the table but I think with a little added caulk I can make it work because of the other construction features I mentioned. It's heavy and solid and well made. It's a bargain for this price.
I have used this table 20+ times as I run a new mobile in-home grooming business. So far, we have absolutely 0 issues. I have fit an Australian Sheppard on it ( mind he was insanely well behaved) and it travels in the trunk of my car.
A few tips, when attaching the arm take care to ensure it is not on the side where the metal edge connects and use a felt pad to reduce the indenting that the clamp makes. Also ensure the legs are locked, the table will fall if you fail to do this as my bather did at a clients house last week. The locking bar is a bit tight at first but it will break in after a bit. You can also use the table arm is 2 ways, I suggest purchasing another lead so that you can double strap any dog who may wiggle a bit more and fidget.
I am short 5'1 so the height is great for me but hard on the back of anyone who may be taller.
The hardest part of grooming my own dog was sitting on the floor for 2-3 hours and keeping my dog still and standing. I love saving the grooming bill, but was in agony afterwards and wasn’t totally satisfied with my own work. This table is fantastic! It folds up and stores as easy as an ironing board. I was able to complete a full grooming job on my dog without killing my neck, back and knees. And just like professional groomers, after the clipping I bathed, dried the dog and went back to the grooming table for touch ups on the dog. I’m 5-8” tall and the height of the table is good. My dog stood still with the harness just like at the groomers. No more dropping my dog off at the groomers and waiting roughly 5 hours for the “your dog is ready for pickup” call on my time. If you’re on the fence about this table, you should buy it. I don’t think you’ll regret the purchase.
